lll (Freedom, Love, Hope)

Created in 2021, lll responds to Thailand’s tense political atmosphere under Prayuth Chan-o-cha’s government—widely seen as a continuation of military rule following the 2014 coup. Amid the uncertainty, the people’s movement became a powerful source of hope.

Inspired by this, I created a sculpture meant to bring that spirit into the home. The work features three symbolic elements:

• Feathers, representing freedom

• White roses, representing love

• Candles, representing hope

The sculpture is designed to be displayed vertically, reflecting the raised-hand protest gesture which is the sign of the protest.
